“A disciple is both a learner and companion of Jesus Christ, as well as one open to the movement of the Holy Spirit towards a gracious generosity of heart. The authentic disciple regards all he or she is and possesses as gifts and blessings and realizes the need to share those gifts and blessings with others for the sake of the kingdom of God.” ~Stewardship, A Disciple’s Response

Here at the Parish of St. Benedict our Faith-Filled Giving program is a way that families can financially support the day-to-day operations of the parish. As members of this community, we are all called to be Disciples of Christ recognizing God’s presence in all and responding with our lives. It is with this in mind that we ask the community to discern how their participation in offertory giving relates to their lives as a disciple.

Stewardship as a way of life is not about giving to a need, it is more about developing the need to give. It helps us to remember that all we have does come as a gift from our loving God and that we are called to return our gifts with interest.

Your commitment to Faith-Filled Giving enables us:

  • To celebrate the Church’s liturgy with beauty and dignity.
  • To offer lifelong faith formation.
  • To pay our staff a just and living wage.
  • To maintain our parish grounds and building.
  • To properly plan and maintain our budget.

Faith-Filled Giving asks that each parish family prayerfully consider how their participation in offertory giving reflects their gratitude for the gifts God has bestowed. In order for us to plan and budget we simply ask that each family complete an annual pledge card informing us of your financial intentions for the coming year. These commitment cards are by no means a contract and are changeable at any given time by calling the office. They provide us with the necessary information on which to plan our budget.
