Parish of St. Benedict

The sacristan works to ensure that the details in preparing for each liturgy are addressed and completed. The preparation begins in the sacristy as the sacristan sets out the sacred vessels and organizes the various liturgical books. An important, yet somewhat time-consuming task, is the cutting of the bread that has been hand-baked by our parish families. After the liturgy, the sacristan will help to clean up and leave the sacristy in good order for the next group of ministers that will come in for the following liturgy.
