Couples of 8

Calling all couples who enjoy meeting new people and sharing an evening with a potluck meal! As Christians, we are called into community, and celebrating this connection by sharing meals has been a tradition through the ages.

If you are new to the Parish of St. Benedict or just looking to meet other couples in our parish community, consider being part of a Couples of Eight group. As the name implies, groups are generally made up of four couples (eight people) who share a meal together every month or so. Dinners are usually potluck, hosted by one of the couples in the group, although groups sometimes meet at restaurants. The groups agree to the dates and times they want to meet, and are normally active through the school calendar.

Couples who are interested fill out a brief questionnaire that includes their age range, whether they have children and their ages. Groups are organized by responses to this questionnaire, and you may wish to be with couples that are of a similar age and family makeup or in a mixed group. Either way, this social ministry is a great way to make new friends.
