CDA Update

02-19-2021Weekly Flocknote MessageFr. James Aboyi, V.C.

During the week, I received an update for our parish participation in the Charity and Development Appeal (CDA). I was delighted to see that 73 families have already participated in the CDA from our parish community with a total pledge of $27,965. This represents 24% of our total goal of $85,000. I thank those who have already participated. I encourage those who have not participated yet to consider sending their pledge or payment this week.

This weekend was designated as the Lay-Witness Weekend. Our Parish CDA Committee Chair and Co-Chair gave a presentation during all the weekend Masses, inviting us to participate. I would like to remind those who took the CDA envelopes home last weekend to remember to return them to us in the office or drop them in the collection basket during Mass. The CDA envelopes are available at the Church entrance. Please give us a call in the parish office (480.961.1610) if you have any questions or if you need help setting up your Text-to-Give or Online payment.

Lenten Parish Programs

On behalf of Fr. Wilfred, I thank those who participated in the first Lenten Bible Study session on Thursday. I was impressed to hear that over 50 parishioners attended. It's not too late to sign up. Please call the front office to RSVP.

Similarly, on behalf of Sr. Colleen, I thank those who are participating in the Lenten Adult Faith Formation series, “The Search.” Two sessions are offered on every Tuesday through Lent, one at 9am and the other at 6:15pm. Join us for whichever time works best for your schedule.

I encourage everyone to take advantage of these two parish programs to nourish your faith during this Lenten Season. Additionally, a quick reminder that we have Confession on Fridays, from 5-6pm, then live-streamed Stations of the Cross at 6pm. Both of these are also good opportunities to strengthen our relationship with God during this holy season of repentance.

Lenten Message from Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted

Have a wonderful weekend and remain blessed.
