Charity and Development Appeal (CDA)

02-18-2022Weekly Flocknote MessageFr. James Aboyi, VC

This weekend is the Kickoff Weekend for the CDA in our parish community. Our Bishop, Thomas Olmsted, will be directly inviting everyone to participate during all Masses. I thank those who have already participated this year in the CDA. We will provide you with an envelope this weekend, especially if you have not yet received one by mail. We will also explain the different ways to give to CDA, including the new “text to give” option.

Parish Picnic

I invite you and your family and friends to come join us for our annual St. Benedict parish picnic from 12:30pm-3:00pm this Sunday at Desert Breeze Park in Chandler. I am excited and looking forward to the fun. We will have hot dogs, hamburgers, kids crafts, face painting, cornhole, Lip Sync contest, raffle baskets, and music.

I am glad to know that as of today, we have over 300 parishioners signed up to attend. Please remember to sign up to enable us to plan for enough food for everyone. It feels so good to know that we are beginning to resume our normal parish life as COVID is winding down across the globe. I look forward to seeing you at the event.
